After Care Instructions

Oral Piercings- 2x a day clean the outside with Saline Wound Wash, either spray into a rinse cup and saturating cotton swabs

to gently wipe away crusties, or soaking a clean piece of gauze, holding to the piercing to loosen crusties and gently wiping away. Careful not to leave fibers behind. Clean the inside by swishing Biotene Mouthwash 2x a day and any time you eat, drink, or smoke.

With Tongue piercings, gently brush the top and bottom balls when you brush your teeth. It is CRITICAL that you downsize your tongue jewelry after you are healed to avoid damage to your gums and teeth. AVOID products containing peroxide, fluoride, or alcohol.

Microdermals- Clean gently 2x a day with Saline Wound Wash with cotton swab or clean gauze, taking care to not leave fibers behind. Always dry when done. Keep covered with dot band aid during activities where it may be at risk of snagging, such as sleeping and showering. Microdermals are not anchored for the first 8 weeks and can be easily pulled out so use caution.

Everything Else- Clean the front/back or top/bottom of Each piercing 2x a day with Saline Wound Wash after either a hot shower or a warm compress.  either spray into a rinse cup and saturating cotton swabs, taking care to not leave fibers behind.

to gently wipe away crusties, or soaking a clean piece of gauze, holding to the piercing to loosen crusties and gently wiping away. Always dry when finished.

DO NOT touch your new piercing with unwashed hands. Do not rotate or twist jewelry. IT WILL NOT FUSE TO YOUR BODY and will move when you clean it. LEAVE IT ALONE. DO NOT use alcohol, peroxide, dial soap, neosporin or tea tree oil  on your piercing! DO NOT go swimming with your new piercing or submerge it in any body of water for a minimum of 3 months, preferably for the full duration of your healing.

Crusties, redness, bruising, and tenderness are all normal during the healing process. White paste around piercings that stay moist (oral) happens instead of crusties. Some bleeding can be normal. If you experience excessive dryness using saline, switch to DISTILLED WATER only to clean.

If you ever have any questions or don’t know what’s up, do not believe Dr. Google. Message us instead. We’re here to help and don’t charge to just check you out and tell you what’s going on.

9 times out of 10 any healing issues you may be experiencing are due to your aftercare routine, so please take good care of your piercings. We can give you a great piercing, but we can’t follow you home.
